Support Worker - Young People 16–18 – Full Time
Location: Southampton
Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota (Overtime Available)

We're looking for compassionate, motivated Support Workers to support young people aged 16–18 as they develop the confidence, resilience, and independence needed for adult life.
This is a rewarding opportunity to build positive relationships, deliver meaningful one-to-one key work sessions, and help young people achieve positive outcomes in a safe and supportive environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Support Worker, you'll work alongside young people to help them achieve their goals and prepare for independent living.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Delivering regular one-to-one key work sessions focused on agreed outcomes and individual goals
● Developing and reviewing support plans with young people
● Encouraging independence and building essential life skills
● Supporting engagement with education, employment, apprenticeships and training
● Promoting positive wellbeing, confidence, healthy relationships and social inclusion
● Supporting with budgeting, meal planning, cooking, shopping and maintaining a safe, clean home
● Completing accurate daily records, incident reports and key work documentation
● Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
● Participating in weekends and contracted sleep-ins as part of the rota
Please note: This role does not involve personal care.
What We're Looking For:
Essential
● Minimum 1 year's experience working with vulnerable young people
● Right to work in the UK
● Good communication, literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills
● Willingness to complete mandatory training and an enhanced DBS check
● Ability to provide two professional references and one character reference
Desirable
● Full UK driving licence
● Access to your own vehicle with business insurance
What We Offer
● £13.00 per hour
● £75.00 per contracted sleep-in
● Annual salary ranging from £32,775.00 - £34,425.00
